Wednesday Prayer for Breakthrough: 8 Prayer Points for Stubborn Situations

What Is a Breakthrough?

A breakthrough is a moment when God moves in a situation that seemed stuck: a closed door opens, a heavy burden lifts or direction becomes clear. The Bible describes God as One who breaks through for His people:

“And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters.” (2 Samuel 5:20, KJV)

Breakthrough comes from God’s power, in His timing, and we are invited to pray with faith.

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to You with a situation I cannot change on my own. I trust Your power and Your timing.

8 Prayer Points for Breakthrough

1. Faith to Believe

Lord, strengthen my faith. Help me to trust You even before I see the answer (Mark 9:24).

2. Wisdom for Next Steps

Show me what to do, what to say and what to leave in Your hands.

3. Open Doors

Open the doors only You can open, and close the ones that are not Your will.

4. Strength to Persevere

Keep me from giving up. Renew my strength while I wait (Galatians 6:9).

5. Help From the Right People

Bring helpers, advisers and divine connections into my path.

6. Peace in the Process

Guard my heart from fear and discouragement while I wait for Your answer.

7. Freedom From Hindrances

Remove every obstacle, habit or attitude in me that stands in the way of what You want to do.

8. Thanksgiving in Advance

Thank You that You hear me, and that You are already working on my behalf.

Closing Prayer

Father, I place this matter in Your hands. Do what only You can do, and let me see Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
